About Us

From our farm to your plate

Chef Nate Gagnon and Rachel (wife and partner) started Carbon Catering food truck as a way to share their love of rustic wood fire cooking. Having both spent years of our lives traveling and living outdoors, we have a deep appreciation for the flavors that only fire cooking can unlock.  We started in Maine 2019 and have since found our forever home in the Blue Ridge mountains of Central Virginia. Our farm here in Virginia is 50 acres providing fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers we use to create our delicious dishes and grazing tables.
We currently are raising Icelandic Sheep, and gather eggs from our chickens.
You may also find our little helpers, our daughters, Rhona and Alanna greeting you at Bonfire, or helping care for the animals. 
We are excited about our future here in Amherst and look forward to what is in store!
