About Us

From our farm to your plate

Chef Nate Gagnon and Rachel (wife and partner) started Carbon Catering food truck as a way to share their love of rustic wood fire cooking. Having both spent years of our lives traveling and living outdoors, we have a deep appreciation for the flavors that only fire cooking can unlock.  We started in Maine 2019 and have since found our forever home in the Blue Ridge mountains of Central Virginia. Our farm here in Virginia is 50 acres providing fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers we use to create our delicious dishes and grazing tables. Our beloved Belted Galloway cows for fresh grass fed beef. 


Carbon Catering provides delicious smoky food available for street vending, festivals, or private events. All food is made from fresh simple ingredients, seasoned and cooked to perfection over our wood fire grill and at Bonfire in our wood fire smoker. We care about every aspect of enjoying a tasty meal wherever you are which is why we go the extra mile to bring you 100% compostable service ware. Whether you are at your favorite cidery, a town festival or your own wedding. We have sourced products that make you feel good about your food in every way. Ask us about our extensive catering menu! We offer things like our grazing table (charcuterie, etc) or check out our “sticks” menu with tasty skewers.
